Who wants a strong America?

November 4, 2007

Who wants a strong America?  It’s hard to come up with an answer for that.  Looking around at world events it is hard to find anyone protecting our position.  Even our own government seems intent on weakening our country.   Politically, financially, and strategically we are weakened, and it seems to be ok with our leaders.

Politically, we have been weakened by the war in Iraq, and world opinion about our actions there.  That is on top of all the resentment the world already has for our position and power.

Financially, over the course of a few short months our dollar has lost 1/3 it’s value.  Our government has allowed this free fall, and if they are concerned it is not apparent by their actions or words.  They should be concerned, because as Americans we have lost a tremendous amount of purchasing power and strength.

Strategically, our former allies are positioning themselves for their own sphere of influence in a multi-polar world, the Russians are undermining our position around the world and using natural resources as a weapon, and the Chinese are no doubt using the 2000 year old teachings of Sun Tzu to influence events in their favor.

Our internal issues are significant.  Division leaves us weak, and there is no shortage of influences seeking to divide us.  Politicians and the media keep us in a constantly fractured state of identity.  We hate each other more than we fear those plotting our demise.

Apathy and ambivalence have immobilized us to the point of paralysis.  Our political attitudes, values, and beliefs are as superficial as our media.  We are locked into a two party system that has abandoned the country’s interest.   The two parties are locked in a battle for power that only furthers the divide in our country.

Corruption is how politics is done.  Put enough money behind your political effort and you cannot fail.  Money greasing the wheels of politics is not new, but in America today, anything goes.  Treason is not treason if you were the national security advisor of a popular former president.  Undermining our national interest is not a problem if you are the head of a political party trying to regain power.

The only way out is for America to become America again.  Hard work, independence, and dedication are what gives liberty and freedom the opportunity to thrive.  Apathy  and ambivalence are the sure path to more socialism, world government, and the end of the world as we Americans know it.

Communist Goals #38, 39, 40, & 41

November 3, 2007

These are #29, 30, & 31 of 45 goals laid out by the communists in the early 1960s.   Albert Herlong, Jr. a Florida Congressman from 1949-69 read them into the Congressional Record Thursday, Jan 10, 1963.

3 8) Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.

39) Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40) Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41) Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

Can you say Child Protective Services?  How about court mandated drug and alcohol classes?  The hairs stand up on the back of my neck when I read this list of goals.

Communist Goal #21 - Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.

October 31, 2007

This is #21 of 45 goals laid out by the communists in the early 1960s.   Albert Herlong, Jr. a Florida Congressman from 1949-69 read them into the Congressional Record Thursday, Jan 10, 1963.

21) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.

Enough said.

Communist goal #17 Get control of the schools

October 27, 2007

17) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books.

This is #17 of 45 goals laid out by the communists in the early 1960s.   Albert Herlong, Jr. a Florida Congressman from 1949-69 read them into the Congressional Record Thursday, Jan 10, 1963.

Run the few sentences above around in your head a couple of minutes.  Does goal #17 sound anything like what has happened in our schools over the last 40 years?  I am not an expert on schools or education.  Somewhere along the way we taught less and less about the founding of our country and the ideals that made our  country great.  We started teaching our kids that winning wasn’t important.  We started dumbing down the curriculum so nobody would feel bad about failure.

Are the communists in charge of the schools?  Are they in charge of the teachers associations?  I don’t know.  They may be being used as useful idiots.  The term is not used to be derogatory, but is an old Marxist term to describe the use of a pawn to further the party agenda.  The pawn or useful idiot doesn’t even have to know he has been enlisted.  Only the results matter.  The communists often used these kind of tool without their knowledge.  The useful idiots would not even be aware their benefactor was a communist conspiracy.

I was truly shocked when I read this the first time, confirmed it’s age, and compared it to my view of our modern educational system.

1963 Communist Goals for a Socialist America

October 27, 2007

Thist is spooky stuff.  These communist goals were entered into the Congressional record by Albert Herlong, Jr. (a Floridian who served in Congress from 1949-69).

1) US acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2) US willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3) Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the US would be a demonstration of “moral strength.”

4) Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5) Extension of long term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites.

6) Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7) Grant recognition of Red China, and admission of Red China to the UN.

8) Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the UN.

9) Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the US has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10) Allow all Soviet Satellites individual representation in the UN.

11) Promote the UN as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the UN as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo).

12) Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13) Do away with loyalty oaths.

14) Continue giving Russia access to the US Patent Office.

15) Capture one or both of the political parties in the US.

16) Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books.

1 8) Gain control of all student newspapers.

19) Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20) Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.

22) Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings,” substitute shapeless, awkward, and meaningless forms.

23) Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

24) Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25) Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography, and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

26) Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy.”

27) Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”

2 8) Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

29) Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30) Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man”.

31) Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of “the big picture”: Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32) Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture - - education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33) Eliminate all laws or procedures, which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34) Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35) Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36) Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37) Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

42) Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a “united force” to solve economic, political, or social problems.

43) Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44) Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45) Repeal the Connally Reservation so the US can not prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

Spooked yet?  This should be required reading for all Americans.

McFly!!!!! Is Anybody Home?

October 25, 2007

I would have never thought I would quote Biff, but more often than not I am left shaking my head.  For a long time now I have heard stories about the government seizing guns in the aftermath of Katrina.  I was fairly certain that didn’t happen.  After all, the media was all over every inch of the Katrina story, and they didn’t mention anything about seizing.

Out of the blue Glenn Beck does a story last night on our loss of liberty and covered just that story.  Are you kidding me?  Did I pass through the looking glass?  Government officials ordering the seizing of guns at gunpoint.  Say it ain’t so!!!

Of course if you look around you will find more evidence of wonderland.  Maybe wonderland isn’t the world.  With all the doublespeak, maybe the world belongs to Orwell more than Alice.  If one were to read 1984 in 2007, one might find more similarity to modern America than modern Russia.

Beck this week is covering our loss of Liberty.  Talk about timely stories.  Sometimes when I watch Glenn Beck, I think he is getting his stories from my web site.  The real story is the thoughts and ideas I feel so strongly about are right there for everyone to see.  It doesn’t take a whole lot of brilliance to see what we have become and where we are heading.

Why is Glenn Beck the only one in the media to cover, or expose these issues that go to the core of our existence as a nation?  I don’t know.  Surely there are objective journalists.  Surely the media wouldn’t intentionally damage this nation.  The stuff Glenn Beck has covered on his television show over the last year and a half, should be all over the other channels and shows.

The American peoples awareness of the critical nature of our times and the precarious position we are in needs to be raised to at least the importance of a prime time sitcom.  We can continue to ignore the problem.  We can stay focused on our daily lives and let the media and government blow sunshine you know where.  We may not even pay a price for our inattention.

Our children and grand children will not escape our irresponsibility if that is the path we choose.  They might pay for our waste of social security.  They might pay for our huge national debt.  They might pay for our exporting of manufacturing.  They might pay for our lackluster educational system.  They might pay for our lack of border security.  They might pay for our pollution.  They might pay for our misplaced priorities in foreign affairs.  They might pay for our poor choice of friends.  They might pay for our partisanship.  They might pay for our corruption.  They might pay for more than one of our failures.  But they will pay.

Like Glenn Beck I hate to be the one running around shouting the sky is falling.  I am a natural optimist.  I know Glenn Beck has done his homework.  Unlike Glenn Beck I have been closely following events on the national and international scene for nearly 30 years and structured my college education around these types of issues.  Like Glenn Beck I am scared.

I am not just scared of the dangers that lurk around the corner for us, but at our inattention, indifference, and insanity.  The Insanity of modern America is we have no national dialog.  That is not true.  There is plenty of national dialog, but it is about Paris Hilton, or OJ, or whatever titillating story they can cover non-stop on 100 channels for weeks on end.  Have you ever asked isn’t there any real news.  I’ve started asking “what news are they distracting me from today?”

LOST, NAFTA, and National Sovereignty

October 19, 2007

I have been hearing a lot about this L.O.S.T treaty the UN wants to implement.  It is being advertised by the UN as something that just ties together already standing agreements on the high seas.  Our media and elected officials don’t seem to want to talk about it.  Our sovereignty is at stake, and we have already surrendered it in many ways with NAFTA.

Many interests are pushing for a one world government, a new world order, or whatever name you want to give it.  Have we as a nation decided we want that?  I must have been absent the day we had the discussion on our sovereignty and agreed to give it up.  When NAFTA was passed there were people who complained it would infringe on our national sovereignty.  They were dismissed as kooks, and we were assured by our media and politicians that it just meant cheaper vegetables and a more competitive business class.

Now we find out NAFTA means our government will defend a foreign national found guilty of murder and sentenced to death, because the Mexican government and UN object.  We find out that now Mexicans have every right to our country.  Foreigners are now more entitled to America than Americans.  Many will read this and jump to the conclusion that I don’t like foreigners.  I like them.  I have known some.  I have worked with some.  They are just like you and me.  That does not entitle them to our country.

This post is about more than immigration, it is about sovereignty.  The L.O.S.T. is a UN power grab.  If we sign on to it it will turn over the high seas to the UN.  It will give the UN the control of the seas, the sea bed, and the sky above the sea.  It will allow the UN to tax activities that take place in international waters.  It will also allow the UN to tell us where our ships can and cannot go.  Even our military ships.

Without an honest discussion, our leaders are turning this country over to others.  Many of those who will be able to tell us what to do under this treaty don’t like us.  The number one issue of the day is sovereignty.  Will America continue to choose it’s destiny?  Will we let someone else decide who we will be?  Our founding fathers are spinning in their graves.

No doubt many in this country like the idea of being part of the bigger world.  Many welcome the socialist redistribution of wealth so strongly promoted by the United Nations.  Of course those ideas are not what made us great.  That doesn’t concern those people, they feel American greatness is an obstacle, and a weak America is best.

I am not one of those people.  I believe the United States of America is the greatest country the world has ever known, and I want it to be even greater for my grandchildren.  I believe millions of Americans feel the same way.  The people of this country will not roll over.

This country is worth fighting for, and millions of us are willing to do just that.  Out here in fly-over land we still remember what our country used to be like.  We remember when people didn’t expect the government to solve all their problems.  We remember when partisans set aside their differences on important matters.  We remember George Washington’s warning.  We remember our greatness helped the entire world.

Washington D.C.!!, before you go handing our sovereignty over to the UN, you better check with us first.  Otherwise you better get out your old Doors albums and play the Peace Frog.
